A smartypants with lots of opinions, but more than a little willingness to admit being wrong and always interested in learning something new.

I'm a 42 year old woman with a background in history, media, publishing and ridiculous relationships . . . who is now in a truly lovely relationship with an intelligent and attractive bloke (who I'll call Abe). We have one daughter (who I'll call Morgaine), and expecting a son v soon. Morgaine has a physical disability that means she'll probably never walk, hence the references to future ramps and wheelchairs and the escalation of things. This blog is partly about tracking the processes and discoveries associated with that, with being labelled a "Carer", and with balancing all those identities that go into being a 21st century woman. Also a big reader, consumer of various quasi intellectual bits of the media, and passionate about friends, ideas, cooking, and passion itself. That'll do.
